The key to learning is not about memorizing facts and being drilled on formulas and definitions. True learning comes as a result of being genuinely interested in a subject. With the right teacher, any subject, no matter how difficult, can be easy to learn. A good teacher inspires and motivates students, making them want to learn. A good teacher understands that every student has a unique way to understand and process information and that every student learns differently. By teaching in a way that optimizes the student's learning style, a good teacher is able to reach any student.I strive to spark an interest in my students by showing them the bigger picture. When they are able to see how things fit together, the difficult concepts become easier to visualize. I especially love teaching math, which I do by breaking down and simplifying difficult concepts and presenting them in a way anyone can understand. I aim to show my students how fun learning math can be when taught outside the confines of traditional education.When I am away from the classroom, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and doing parkour. I also am interested in acrobatic martial arts.
